Alpha Omega Epsilon was founded on November 13, 1983 as a professional and social sorority for female engineers. We value our history and take pride in our founders, who were truly visionary.
Mission statement: Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional sorority founded in 1983 that promotes friendship, leadership and professionalism to all members of the organization, the community and our professions.
Message from our President
Welcome to the website of the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon at the University of Wisconsin! On behalf of our chapter, I personally welcome you to explore our website and learn more about the life of an Alpha Ep at UW and the sisterhood of Alpha Omega Epsilon.
Being a part of Alpha Omega Epsilon is a special, life-changing experience that lasts beyond college. Joining AΩE was undoubtedly the smartest decision I made in college. It helped me develop a resume that I credit with my acceptance to medical school. It taught me to manage my time, to give wholly of myself, and to balance many aspects of myself at once. Most importantly, it is here that I found my “home away from home” and here that I have found my closest friends.
I am amazed by the diversity found within our chapter, both in personalities of our women (we are all very different) and in our involvement and goals. Although we are women in science and engineering, my sisters are headed all over the world and involved in almost every facet at the University of Wisconsin.
Within AΩE, our members have a place to call home, a place to find their friends, and a place to be themselves. We are dedicated to the personal excellence of each of our members and strive to help each of us develop all aspects of “Friendship. Leadership. Professionalism”.
I invite you to come learn more about Alpha Omega Epsilon at any time. I know my sisters will welcome you with open arms.
Alpha Love and Mine,
Kathryn Kaye
